There are many potential sources of funding for starting a small business including personal assets, bank loans, and government programs. Below are some of the more common sources that our clients use:
Starter Company – Start a company: young adults. If you are between 18-29 years old, you can get up to $5,000 and professional mentoring to start and expand a business in Ontario. Northern Ontario Heritage Fund – Ontario Government Grants and Loans.
Futurpreneur Canada (formerly Canadian Youth Business Foundation) – Start-up and growth funding for entrepreneurs under the age of 39.
Community Futures Development Corporations – Providing loans for businesses
Temiskaming Developement Fund Corporation – Providing loans for resource and industrial sector companies
Farm Credit Canada – Providing Loans for the agricultural sector
